For the past 6 years I've been working professionally as a Motion Graphic Designer and Character Animator based out of New York City. I'm building a collection of experience working with Advertising and Corporate clients, as well as the smaller studios working for Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, and a 2D Indie Video Game. I've also had some teaching experience at a college level for 2D animation and After Effects at Virginia Commonwealth University. I have a love for using motion in design, typography, and storytelling to try to breathe life into my art.
I have a history in traditional animation and come from a character animation background. This fuels my confidence in attention to detail for motion when using it for visual storytelling. Though I am most confident in my ability to collaborate and communicate in a creative team environment, understanding the importance of customer service through establishing my own skateboard company back in college.
I graduated with a BFA in Animation from Virginia Commonwealth University. I studied film and sound design as well. I began freelancing professionally even before I graduated, bringing an animated series pitch to NYC in 2011. I was asked to come back to VCU to teach a class on Animation. I am very well versed in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Final Cut Pro, and Traditional Animation.
