Motion Reel

I'm excited to share my most recent motion design & animation reel. I wanted the Illustrations to be designed with mostly minimalistic shapes to help keep things clear in only a second or two. 

Shot by shot

I wanted to challenge myself and create a reel combining fun moments from my different projects, but more so by creating new shots specifically for this reel.

Goals of the project:​

  • Emphasize a diversity of work demonstrating versatility by featuring a variety of techniques and concepts in each composition.

  • Capture Attention by using bold and dynamic motion to engage viewers from the first few frames.

  • Maintain consistent energy by keeping the pace lively and upbeat throughout the reel to hold the viewers interest.

  • Create a seamless flow by ensuring each short piece transitions smoothly into the next for a cohesive, energetic ride.

Design Direction

The design direction of my motion reel embraces a lively and vibrant aesthetic, with each piece being a playful burst of color and energy. The reel flows seamlessly through a series of small, short segments, each crafted to capture attention with its dynamic and upbeat visuals. The use of bold colors, fluid transitions, and whimsical animations creates a cohesive experience that’s both fun and visually engaging. This approach highlights a love for creativity and movement, making the reel not just a showcase of skills but also a joyful exploration of design.
