Prismacolor came with a need to drive awareness, excitement, and eventual usage for the newly launched Prismacolor+ app with a 30sec video that highlights the apps key capabilities.

Goals of the project:

  • Define a feasible MVP scope for Prismacolor+ while considering an ideal launch date of 02/01/2024

  • Uncover technical requirements and make key decisions critical to the scoping effort and overall goals for Prismacolor+

  • Establish high fidelity visual design language

  • Align on top priorities for the post-launch development phase

Design Direction

Given the creativity Prismacolor invites, we explored guiding the narrative from the point of view of an aspiring artist through gradients, colors, realistic textures, and pencil markings. In contrast we showed UI moments in a darker sophisticated layout. We wanted to represent the journey the user would take, from an interest in physical art to digital education and finally back with confidence to their creativity better expressed.
